29/09/2009   Youths target Wembly Jewellers

Wembley Incident 29th September 2009

Beware of a group of youths currently hanging around Ealing Road, Wembley. One of the jewellers has reported that last week they admitted a guy who, upon entering the shop stooped and made pretense of tying up his shoelace .. thus the electrically operated door was held in the open position. On this occasion the s taff shouted at him to close the door and the man came in and then left.

Today there was another and similar incident and another guy made approaches to the door seeking admission. At the time another employee was close by talking with  a neighbour shop keeper and whilst observing the caller  he also observed 3 or 4 other similarly clad youths hiding in a nearby doorway. Fortunately he had time to attract his colleague's attention in the shop and was able to warn them so as not to allow the caller into the shop. Due to his quick thinking they believe they have managed to avert a robbery.

These guys are young, probably teenagers and were wearing track suit type tops with hoods. There were 3 white guys, one of mixed race and possibly another. It seems they are hanging around the area and looking for opportunities.
